Hiller Family Scholars

Hiller Scholars

Through the generous support of Marty and Jan Hiller, the endowment of the Hiller Family Scholars Program was initiated. This program will support undergraduate students with a living stipend and supply budget to perform adult stem cell and induced pluripotent stem cell research at the University of Notre Dame during the summer. This is a very critical time for undergraduates to become immersed in research and this gift makes it possible for several students to participate every summer. In addition, the Hiller Family Scholars Program will support a limited number of graduate students with a living stipend to continue their research projects during both the summer and academic year. This support will allow the graduate students to fully delve into their research projects for a period of time and free them from teaching obligations for one or two semesters during their graduate career. These graduate student fellowships will allow the students to significantly enhance their research experience and help to propel the entire adult stem cell and induced pluripotent stem cell research programs to greater productivity.
